Hogmanay in Scotland

Where will you be celebrating the New Year?
Say the word "Hogmanay" and the first thing most people think of is Scotland. It is well know that the New Year is as big, if not a bigger celebration then Christmas to the Scots who love to party and the New year or as it known in Scotland "Hogmanay" is the biggest celebration in the year. It is a time to look back and reflect on the old year going out and to look forward to the new year coming in . From the last chime of Midnight the celebration start and can continue through the 1st & 2nd of January with life returning to normal on the 3rd of January and although the party celebrations may have come to an end the Scot's will continue to welcome you with a warm "Happy New Year " greeting and a hand shake or kiss well into January if it is your first meeting since the start of the New Year.
Where ever you go around the world there is no were like Scotland to celebrate the New Year and if you have never had a Hogmanay in Scotland before then I highly recommend that you plan your next New Year to be celebrate with us in Scotland.
